       There Are Three Types Of Tracks Used In  Indian Railways .
  1.        NARROW GAUGE
  2.        METER GAUGE
  3.        BROAD GAUGE         
  •       MEANING OF GAUGE :-   
                                               The Exact Meaning Of Gauge.

The gauge means the clear difference between the two tracks . Will guys whenever you travel with Railways you might have seen there are sometimes the size Tracks Changes like When Travel in kalka-Shimla Route.
  • NARROW GAUGE :-

Gwalior -Sheopur kalan narrow gauge Railway line is one of the longest narrow gauge Railway line in India which has total length of approximately 199 km.
This railway line was built in 1904 by Maharaj Madho Rao Scindia ( MAHARAJA OF GWALIOR ) .

  • METER GAUGE :-

Along the Akola Mhow Meter gauge railway line lies the 15 km stretch of beautiful ghat section beside the choral valley. This last remaining stretch of the line will soon be converted to broad gauge, and all will surely miss the sound and beauty of these little beasts.
  • BROAD GAUGE :-


For the long ago Britishers have given INDIA many important Things, Railways is also on of Them. They build light railway system which includes narrow Gauge , Meter gauge and others but as the time passes passenger's need also increased so Government of India plans to Convert Existing Narrow Gauge and Meter Gauge lines into Broad Gauge one which is Now Standardized in INDIA. So they Started Project Uni-gauge which includes Converting the existing line into Single Broad Gauge track ,and as future demand making it double and electrified too.
