  •            ICF COACHES :-
                     Integral Coach Factory (ICF) coaches are conventional passenger coaches used on the majority of main-line trains in India. The design of the coach was developed by Integral Coach FactoryPeramburChennaiIndia in collaboration with the Swiss Car & Elevator Manufacturing CoSchlieren, Switzerland in the 1950s. The design is also called the Schlieren design based on the location of the Swiss company. The frame of the ICF coach is a fabricated structure made up of mild steel. bogie bolster is the central section of the bogie that carries the entire weight of a coach's under frame.Two types of brake heads are used. ICF brake head and the IGP brake head. A brake head is a fabricated structure made up of steel plates welded together.

  •            LHB COACHES :-
                     Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches are the passenger coaches of INDIAN RAILWAYS that have been developed by LINKE_HOFMANN_BOSCH of Germany(renamed Alstom LHB GmbH in 1998 after the takeover by Alstom) and mostly produced by Rail Coach Factory.

The coaches are designed for an operating speed up to 160 km/h and could go up to 200 km/h. However, they have been tested up to 180 km/h. Their length of 23.54 m and a width of 3.24 m means a higher passenger capacity, compared to conventional rakes. The tare weight of the AC chair car was weighed as 39.5 tonnes.
  • AC - First class AC: 
 This is the most expensive class, where the fares are almost at par with air fare. There are eight cabins (including two coupes) in the full AC First Class coach and three cabins (including one coupe) in the half AC First Class coach. This air conditioned coach is present only on popular routes and can carry 18 passengers (full coach) or 10 passengers (half coach). This class is available on broad gauge and meter gauge trains routes.


  • Sleeper class:

 The sleeper class is the most common coach on the Indian Railways, and usually ten or more coaches of sleeper class could be attached to a train rake. These are regular sleeping coaches with three berths vertically stacked, without air conditioning. In broad gauge, it carries 72 passengers per coach
